Health and Safety Experience 

The Crescent Technology safety group has conducted health & safety activities at a number of companies in the United States as well as at international operations, including operations in Australia, Canada, Indonesia, Spain, and Saudi Arabia.  A sampling of some of the more significant activities: 

·        Safety and industrial health compliance audits of major industrial facilities in the U.S., Australia, Canada, and Indonesia. 

·        Worked with the Saudi Arabia Mining Company to develop a model mine training and safety plan for the Saudi mining industry.  Plans included Implementation Plans for Training and Development, Training Needs Assessment Overview, Management Training and Development, Apprenticeship Programs, Vocational Skills, as well as comprehensive programs for Mine Safety and Health. 

·        Conducted major accident investigations for mining companies in Indonesia and the U.S. 

·        Developed a safety management plan for a silver and gold mining company in Idaho. 

·        Developed a comprehensive health and safety program for a large surface gold mine in Nevada. 

·        Represented U.S. mining companies on state and national trade associations as committee members and committee chairmen. 

·        Conducted case management for MSHA and OSHA citations and litigation for U.S. mining companies. 

·        Participated in “due diligence” activities for acquisition activities for client companies. 

·        Evaluated workers compensation program and provided recommendations for cost containment, return to work programs, and claim management. 

·        Conducted safety staffing needs assessment, evaluated the professionalism of safety staff, and developed professional development programs to address identified deficiencies. 

·        Analyzed corporate safety culture, evaluated safety program effectiveness and developed specific recommendations to management regarding the deficiencies and strengths of the organization. 

·        Evaluated the effectiveness of management training and skills training and developed recommendations to improve the management and productive process. 

·        Provide safety and health oversight function for major international client including periodic on-site reviews. 

·        Provide site safety management services for client companies including routine safety inspections, site safety management, special emphasis inspections, construction projects, and start-up operations. 

·        Developed Independent Contractor Policy for large open pit mining company. 

·         Monitor and analyze proposed safety and health regulations and legislation for client companies and make specific recommendations for compliance requirements. 

·         Conduct safety-training programs for client companies for annual training requirements and on an as-need basis.
